Michael di Cosola This 1986 colorful pastel drawing on black paper is by Abstract Surrealist San Francisco artist Michael di Cosola (1929-2010). Di Cosola studied at the Chicago Ar t Institute before moving to the Bay Area to study at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. He had a studio in North Beach during the height of the neighborhood's art scene and exhibited at several Bay Area art galleries in the 1960s. Di Cosola is known for psychedelic, Surrealist portraiture and abstractions. May 13, 1986 Pastel on Paper 15"x19" framed, 9.5"x12.5" unframed Signed and dated in the image area in the lower left. excellent vintage condition.
