Paul McCoy This 1960s-1970s pastel on paper drawing is by California artist Paul McCoy (1921-2005). An artist and writer, he studied at New York's Pratt Institute and Cornell Unive rsity, where he graduated with a MA in Literature. In the late 1950s McCoy moved to Majorca, Spain. Following in the footsteps of the European Modernists Picasso and Cezanne, he studied the Mediterranean palette, painting local people and architecture. McCoy returned to California in the 1960s where he continued to paint coastal life with a European influence. 1960s-1970sPastel on Paper 5.5" x 8" unframed Estate stamped lower right.
