The design compliments a variety of fabric weights. Lightweight fabrics result in a more drape-y style and a warm weather jacket. Mid-weight fabrics have a bit more structure to the design and might serve for a cooler Spring or Fall day. When you get into heavier weight fabrics, be careful not to go too heavy as the design is completely in 2 layers of fabric. In terms of difficulty, lightweight and heavier weight fabrics might result in a slightly more difficult sewing experience. Mid-weight fabrics will be the easiest to work with for this pattern.
