This is a fabulous 3-ply matelasse' knit with a small diamond pattern quilted look, nicely textured and so soft, with some cushioning between the layers. The color is jet black. It is medium weight and opaque with a soft drape that has a bit of body. It has about 15% stretch widthwise and lengthwise, but is quite stable, making it a versatile weight perfect for an indoor or outdoor jacket or lighter weight coat, hoodie, fitted skirt, vest, or use as a casual coat lining for extra insulation and comfort.
