V63 The V63 is based on the ML Single Coil Pickup, developed in collaboration with Mike Landau. Starting with a hand-wound reproduction of the pickups from Mike Landau's '63 Stratocaster, these pickups were born from a true experiment. They're juicier and hotter than other vintage pickups, while still retaining their sparkling quality. The magnets are made by the same manufacturer that produced Fender pickup magnets in the early '60s, using the same materials and manufacturing methods as back then. The height of the staggered pole pieces has been adjusted to create a more balanced magnetic field and accommodate modern fingerboard radii.
