Shibuya Guitars Station/ The V63 is based on the ML Single Coil Pickup, developed in collaboration with Mike Landau. Starting with a hand-wound recreation of the pickups from Mike Landau's '63 Strat, these pickups were born from a true experiment. They're juicier and hotter than other vintage pickups, while still retaining their sparkle. The magnets are made by the same manufacturer that produced Fender pickup magnets in the early 1960s, using the same materials and manufacturing methods as back then. The staggered pole pieces are positioned to create a more balanced magnetic field and accommodate modern flat fingerboard radii. The pickups are juicier and hotter than other vintage pickups, while still retaining their sparkle. The V63 is compatible with all positions, including reverse wound and reverse polarity for use in the middle position.
