The Catalinbread Echorec is a compact delay pedal that recreates the legendary Binson Echorec tube echo. Pink Froyd is probably the most famous user of the Binson Echorec. And the unique rhythmic characteristics and atmosphere of the Echorec continue to fascinate many musicians to this day. The Catalinbread Echorec offers 12 different combinations of four playback heads, including some combinations that were impossible with the original! Furthermore, unlike the original Echorec, Catalinbread now allows for delay time adjustment within a range of 40ms to 1000ms. The Repeats knob controls everything from a single repeat to a feedback effect similar to a spaceship sound. The Tone knob allows you to easily change the sound quality. You can control everything from a natural delay sound to a dark tone, a well-defined tone, and even a slightly degraded, lo-fi tone. The Mix knob allows you to freely adjust the ratio between 100% of the original sound and 100% of the effect sound. An internal switch allows you to switch between true bypass and buffered bypass when bypassed. When buffer bypass is selected, the delay sound remains even when the effect is turned off and gradually decays. The device operates on a DC 9-18V center-negative adapter.
