It is used as a component of culture media for cell culture, effectively inhibiting the growth of most Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, thereby effectively controlling bacterial contamination of cells. This product is a sterile solution that is colorless to pale yellow, with a pH of 6.3-6.9, and is provided as a 100× stock solution. The recommended usage concentration is 10 mL/L (Penicillin: 100 U/mL; Streptomycin: 100 µg/mL).
