The V60LP, the flagship of the JST pickup series, faithfully reproduces the single-coil sound of the 1960s, which had the best sound character of the time. These pickups use the same magnets as pickups made during this era, giving you the bell-like clarity of high notes, warm and punchy mids, and big, powerful lows that are characteristic of great vintage pickups. While researching various vintage pickups, John Suhr discovered some that simply sounded better than others, and to find out why, he took the pickups apart, counted the turns of the coil wire, and measured the gauss of the magnets. The V60LP reproduces not only the materials but also the hand-wound patterns of pickups produced in the early 1960s, resulting in a sweet, rounded, and wonderfully rich high tone. The V60 model is compatible with all positions, including reverse wound and reverse polarity for use in the middle position.
