From a CA designer, this is a wonderful printed sweater knit, light weight yet nearly opaque, with a lovely soft drape. The edgy ink blot stripe (11.5" repeat) is printed on the pu rl side of the sweater knit (technically the "wrong" side) with horizontal stripe of black on a light gray background. The light gray is really a mix of black and white, white being the prominent color on the face. The reverse is a fine salt and pepper knit stitch, more black than white, that can be used as contrast.
