Guerrilla Tactics is the RIBA’s annual business conference for small and medium sized practices. Each year the programme is curated by a different Creative Director, selected in a competitive process. The 2020 Guerrilla Tactics Conference was curated by Tomas Millar of Millar + Howard Workshop and explored avenues for ‘Reinventing Practice’. The conference highlighted opportunities for architects to broaden their reach and influence by initiating their own projects; investigated alternative business models designed to share profits and responsibilities more equitably; explored new locations of innovation – both geographic (rural practice) and in engaging with the craft of making; offered practical tips and strategies for working smarter, thereby freeing up architects’ time.
