These updates benefit from an all-new preamp and an aggressively evolved power section with default EL34 power tubes. While closely resembling the original Dual Rectifier Solo Head from the early '90s, the Badlander pays homage to its history while simultaneously breaking new ground in heavy sound with its innovative, percussive character. The Rectifier Badlander 50's two channels can be configured for any style of sound, making it extremely versatile and powerful enough to rock any sound. Both channels feature the same three modes: Clean, Crunch, and Crush, allowing you to create any gain combination you like. The multi-watt power switch allows you to adjust the output power in three stages: full power (100W & 50W) or 20W in triode connection. Switching the power switch not only lowers the voltage but also changes the EQ curve, resulting in a stronger sag feel. The built-in CabClone IR DI section makes the model even more flexible and user-friendly, and it features eight impulse responses (IRs) captured from MESA's most iconic speaker cabinets. Eight different virtual cabinets, each with their own distinctive tone, can be assigned to each channel with different settings, making it extremely convenient for direct recording or live performances when you want to send the amp sound directly to the mixing console without using a microphone (or connecting a cabinet).
