Tempest Overdrive was created with a simple goal in mind: to make a super versatile overdrive/boost solution that works just as well in the studio and live, in collaboration with Architects legends Adam Christianson and Josh Middleton. Designed as a high-output overdrive pedal, the Tempest perfectly pushes any amp and delivers their renowned brutal and precise tone. For extremely tight rhythm tones, increase the level and decrease the gain; for lead playing, increase the gain for unprecedented sustain. Controlling the Tempest couldn't be simpler. It features standard Drive and Level controls, as well as High and Low Pass controls. Unlike typical tone controls, these are specially positioned to allow the pedal to alter the tone even at extreme settings. ■Control BYPASS: True bypass footswitch LEVEL: Adjusts the pedal's output. Increasing this setting will increase the signal volume and push the amp input more strongly. GAIN: Adjusts the amount of gain (overdrive). The beginning of the sweep is quite clean, and you can hear the gain increasing after about 11 o'clock. LOW: Cuts the low end output from the pedal. HIGH: Cuts the amount of high-end frequencies output from the pedal.Power: DC 9V center pin negative external adapter/power supply only.
