This is the OM-28 style, made using the rare material cocobolo. The top is made of Italian Alpine spruce, and the back and sides are made of luxurious premium-grade cocobolo. Both materials were hand-selected by our dedicated staff during the 2023 Martin Factory Tour. As you'd expect from an OM-28, it has a powerful, thick mid-range fundamental, and even with a strong input touch it outputs without any distortion.The instrument also responds smoothly to even a light touch, making it a very expressive guitar that will further enrich the player's expressiveness. The combination of a European top and cocobolo sides and back often results in a hard, wild-horse sound, but by selecting a soft and delicate top material, we have created an exquisite instrument that is rich in rich, enveloping overtones. Although it is a 28 style, the selection of ebony for the binding gives it a modern and luxurious look. The fingerboard is made of black ebony and the neck is of course made of pure mahogany, making this a special guitar crafted to the exacting specifications you'd expect from a custom shop!
