The semi-hollow Lo nghorn bass is based on the classic design that is characteristic of Danelectro. It features a semi-hollow body made of a combination of spruce and masonite, and a perfluoro saddle for a deep, rich bass. While it has a mellow, classic tone at its core, it also features a high-power lipstick, allowing it to produce a rough, gritty sound when played with a pick or slapped. In addition to its lightweight and highly portable nature thanks to its short scale, the short fret spacing and unique shape make it extremely playable on the higher frets, making it ideal for technical playing. It also features a metal nut that ensures consistent sound both when played open and when pressed, making it a highly practical instrument despite its appearance. This model differs from the standard model in that the body binding has been changed to black, giving it a sharp, cool look.
