[We have a "Super Sensitive" model with a full-surface finish, believed to have been manufactured between 1978 and 1979, in stock!] The snare is super sensitive, with a snare that contacts the entire side of the snare and a mechanism that moves the entire snare up and down when turned on/off. As its name suggests, this model boasts a snare that accurately captures even the most subtle phrases, producing a crisp, clear sound. Of course, the aluminum shell unique to the 400 series also provides a full, powerful sound, resulting in a very well-balanced snare sound.
