[A rare Ludwig Supraphonic Piccolo snare drum has arrived! A used L-405 is now in stock!] This is a Supraphonic Piccolo snare drum that appears to have been manufactured between 19 78 and 1979. It is manufactured using the same shell material as the LM402 and LM400 (Radialloy...aluminum + chrome plating), It has the fast and tight response you'd expect from a small-bore, shallow-body horn, but also a wide range of sound for its size.The 6-tension specification means the sound isn't too tight, and it retains an exquisitely open resonance, making it an instrument with a good balance that you wouldn't expect from its size.
