The Starclassic Performer series is a snare drum that has been redesigned and improved to meet modern needs, with shell materials and hardware that maintain the Starclassic's signature "excellent shell resonance" while being more affordable. It features a maple-birch hybrid shell that produces a balanced, clear, and punchy sound. This is a new series of snare drums that is affordable yet aims to produce a sound that will satisfy even professional drummers. Shells (Maple/Birch) The shell is a hybrid, combining two plies of maple on the inside and birch on the outside. The warmth and clarity of the maple shell is complemented by the distinct sound image and solid attack of the birch, resulting in a balanced, clear, and punchy sound. Die-Cast Hoops The highly rigid zinc die-cast hoop keeps the contact surface between the head and hoop perpendicular at all times, allowing for sensitive tuning even with critical tuning. Another major attraction is the powerful sound with a clear fundamental tone. ●MLS30A Strainer This strainer uses a mechanism that switches ON/OFF by rotating a lever horizontally. The structure prevents the snare tension from loosening while playing and also prevents the switch from being turned off unexpectedly. In addition, both the strainer and bat feature a sliding cover mechanism that secures the snappy cord/tape. This is an innovative system that eliminates the need to thread cords/tape between the main unit and the cover. ●EVANS Heads The striking head is made of the durable and expressive EVANS G1 coated head, which produces an open, bright, and harmonically rich sound.
