It's a well-known fact that the legendary riffs and powerful tone of Jerry Cantrell, one of the most influential guitarists to emerge from the Seattle rock scene, have been the driving force behind Alice in Chains since the late 1980s. The melancholic yet beautiful melodies played with a wah pedal, heard in the band's signature songs such as "Man in the Box" and "The Rooster," which are now considered modern classics, remain etched in the hearts of guitarists of that generation. Because Jerry preferred a wider, darker wah sound, Dunlop spared no effort in creating his signature model to capture that moody sound.
