While the basic material configuration—an ash body with a hard maple neck and fretboard—is the same as the ESP AMAZE-AS, the use of different parts has resulted in a more versatile bass. Lightweight HIPSHOT Ultralite tuners are used to reduce neck dive. The bridge is a GOTOH 404SJ-5 with steel saddles. The strings can also be strung from the back of the body according to preference. The pickups are CL-P-J5-2 pickups made by ESP Custom Lab and developed specifically for the E-AMAZE. In addition to thorough shielding using the Custom Lab's unique copper foil, they employ a split coil that provides hum-canceling effect, achieving low noise even as J-style pickups. The EQ circuit incorporates a specially modified IC from the ESP HALIBUT, tuned specifically for the E-AMAZE. The volume pot doubles as a switch pot; in its normal state, it operates in active mode using the EQ circuit, but pulling the knob up switches it to passive mode, canceling the EQ circuit. Additionally, a separate master tone control is provided, which works in both active and passive modes. This is also a switch pot; in its normal state, it uses a 0.023μF capacitor, but pulling the knob up switches it to a 0.047μF capacitor. By intentionally omitting a primer coat, the wood grain (pores) remains visible, allowing you to appreciate the natural texture of the wood with a thin coating. Furthermore, the use of lacquer for the topcoat gives it a distinctive feel and sheen. There are minor scratches, light dents, and stand marks, but it is in good working order and can be played without any problems.
