Producer Mermerus Vineyard was established in 1996 on a small dairy farm on the Bellerine Peninsula. It is still home to some cattle and sheep, a vegetable garden, and an orchard. A small family-run operation, farming is done by hand as naturally as possible. The wines are crafted with passion and precision. Tasting Note This Pinot Noir is highly fragrant with aromas of baked rhubarb, wild strawberry, and earthy forest floor. The palate is light with fine tannins, and some nice meaty, herbal notes balance out the sweeter cherry and strawberry notes. It's a lovely local Pinot Noir with a warming feel. Show more
