How is Made VINIFICATION: Produced from 100% Sangiovese grapes with natural fermentation and long maceration up to 40 days. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation and static decantati on are employed. Aged for 40 months in Slavonian oak barrels. CHARACTERISTICS: The nose starts sweet and playful, with aromas of chocolate frosting and candied cherries, before umami notes of balsamic, damp fallen leaves, and underbrush gradually emerge.
