Transferrin can bind to specific cell surface receptors and be internalized by endocytosis. After entering the cell, iron is released into the cell. Apoferritic transferrin is released to the outside of the cell by exocytosis without being degraded. Transferrin can deliver iron to cells in a safe and effective form. This product is a recombinant human transferrin expressed and purified from Pichia pastoris using genetic recombination technology.
