Manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminum, these Alloy Thin-neck inserts feature a male-to-male threaded format with matching threads at both ends. Historically, the thin-neck lightsaber design presents a unique aesthetic aspect and engineering challenge. These insert designs prioritize strength and security offering a 6mm Neck Insert Thread length and a 45 degree friction chamfer that locks the neck to the base while redirecting force. Asymmetric insert profiles further the aesthetic legacy; users will find the matching thread ends provide two neck options in a single insert by simply changing the orientation of the insert. A raw finish allows for user customization through etching, weathering or other surface treatments. Technical Considerations Due to the reduced diameter of the neck section, these components require careful consideration of internal component placement. Due to VHC form factor limitations, users making bold thin-neck designs that deviate from current standards may require chassis modification or a custom chassis to accommodate. While our design features a 200% increase in insert thread length, and a 33% increase in thread wall thickness compared to competitors as well as a friction-locking chamfer, users are advised to exercise caution during handling to avoid heavy impacts or strong blade binds.
