Benjamin Moore ADVANCE® Interior Paint is a premium waterborne alkyd enamel designed to deliver the high-end performance of traditional oil-based paint with the convenience of a water-based formula. It is widely recognized as a top choice for painting kitchen cabinets, trim, and doors due to its ability to create a smooth, furniture-quality finish that resists scuffs and repeated washing. Professional Results & Application Exceptional Flow & Leveling: ADVANCE® features superior "leveling" properties, allowing the paint to flow into tiny imperfections and dry into a smooth, factory-like surface without visible brush or roller marks. Extended Open Time: Unlike standard water-based paints, this formula has an extended "open time," giving painters more flexibility to achieve a flawless, high-end finish. Hard, Durable Cure: It cures to a tough, furniture-grade finish that stands up to heavy use and repeated cleaning, making it ideal for high-traffic areas. Easy Maintenance & Low Odor: This paint offers easy soap and water cleanup and maintains a low VOC level even after tinting, which is a key benefit for interior home projects. Application Guidelines Drying Times: At standard conditions (70°F and 50% relative humidity), ADVANCE® is dry to the touch in 4–6 hours. It requires 16 hours of drying time before a recoat can be applied. Cure Period: While it dries quickly, it can take up to 30 days to fully cure to its maximum hardness. It is recommended to avoid heavy abrasion for at least 5–7 days. Methods: It can be applied via brush, roller, or spray (Airless or HVLP). For best results, use a premium nylon/polyester brush or microfiber roller.
