The Mariner Table Lamp is a considered table lamp from Mariner, originating in Spain, that combines a tall rectangular wooden pedestal with a fluted, trumpet-like translucent stone shade. It is designed for interior ambient and decorative lighting where sculptural form and a warm glow are required. The lamp reads as a modern Art Deco statement: a high-gloss, dark wood pedestal with prominent vertical grain is detailed with three vertically aligned diamond-shaped marquetry inlays and polished silver-toned metal bands. The proportions and geometric inlays create a clear focal point on a side table or console.Construction pairs a Macassar-style wood veneer pedestal with a carved natural stone shade — described as alabaster or onyx — that shows soft, natural veining in a creamy off-white. The shade sits on a circular metal and stone foot that connects to the top of the rectangular base, and metal bands at the stem and base add a refined contrast. The translucent stone shade is intended to diffuse light, producing a warm internal glow rather than direct task light. Its fluted, trumpet-like profile softens the distribution so the lamp performs primarily as ambient and decorative illumination. Please note this item is made to order and cannot be refunded or returned.
