EN 1143-1 Grade 2 Certified Security The Burton Amario has been independently attack tested and certified by ECB-S to EN 1143-1 Grade 2. Grade 2 provides a substantial level of recognised burglary resistance and carries a recommended £17,500 cash rating or £175,000 valuables rating. This makes the Amario Grade 2 particularly well suited to protecting: High-value jewellery Luxury watches Cash Precious metals and collectables Important personal possessions Confidential documents Other high-value contents For customers whose insurance requirements exceed the limits of a Grade 1 safe, the Amario Grade 2 provides a significant increase in independently certified burglary protection. £17,500 Cash / £175,000 Valuables Rating The recommended £175,000 valuables rating makes the Amario Grade 2 an excellent choice for protecting substantial jewellery and luxury watch collections. The range is also insurance approved by the Association of Insurance Surveyors (AiS) and built to the Police Preferred Specification – Secured by Design, providing additional reassurance when selecting a safe for higher-value insured possessions. Despite its substantial construction, the Amario range has been designed with relatively compact external dimensions, allowing serious Grade 2 protection to be incorporated discreetly within many residential and professional environments. Choice of Key or Electronic Locking Every standard Amario Grade 2 size is available with a choice of high-security Key or Electronic locking. The key-locking models feature a high-security 11-lever double-bitted key lock, with two keys supplied. The electronic models provide convenient PIN-code access through a high-security electronic lock. The lock provides: 1 Master Code 1 User Code External battery access Low-battery warning Convenient keyless operation The lock is independently tested and certified to EN 1300 and VdS Class B. An integrated LED light also makes the keypad easier to operate when the safe is installed inside a wardrobe, cupboard or other darker location. Substantial Security Construction The Amario Grade 2 has been engineered around formidable physical security. A substantial 50mm-thick safe door protects the locking system, together with a 55mm back-pan cover. The door is secured by three-way locking with substantial 25mm diameter locking bolts, providing protection from multiple directions. A fixed dog bolt on the hinge side provides additional protection against attempted hinge attacks, helping ensure the door remains securely protected even if the external hinges are targeted. The combination of substantial construction, high-security locking and heavy-duty boltwork forms part of the independently tested protection required to achieve Grade 2 certification. Three Sizes to Suit Your Requirements The Burton Amario Grade 2 is available in three sizes. Every size provides the same EN 1143-1 Grade 2 security and recommended £17,500 cash / £175,000 valuables rating. Practical Internal Storage Size 1 incorporates one removable shelf, while Sizes 2 and 3 are supplied with two shelves. This allows the interior to be configured around jewellery boxes, watch cases, documents, collectables and other valuable possessions. The larger capacities available within the Amario range make it particularly useful where customers require more storage than a conventional compact home safe but still want a product designed around discreet residential installation. Secure Floor & Wall Fixing Correct installation is essential with an independently certified Grade 2 safe. The Amario Grade 2 incorporates back and base fixing provision, allowing the safe to be securely anchored to an appropriate structural floor or wall. The safe must be correctly anchored to maintain its intended security certification and associated recommended insurance rating. Given the substantial weights of the range and the value of contents likely to be protected, professional installation is strongly recommended. SafeFort Recommendation The Burton Amario Grade 2 is an excellent choice for customers protecting substantial jewellery, luxury watch collections and other high-value possessions, particularly where an insurer requires recognised Grade 2 security. Its combination of EN 1143-1 Grade 2 certification, £175,000 recommended valuables rating, AiS insurance approval and Secured by Design status provides a high level of independently verified protection suitable for demanding residential and professional applications. Compared with the Amario Grade 1, the Grade 2 increases the recommended cash rating from £10,000 to £17,500 and the valuables rating from £100,000 to £175,000. For customers comparing it with the Burton Home Safe G2 MKII, both provide the same Grade 2 and £175,000 recommended valuables rating. The Amario is the more substantial Premium Series alternative, offering greater capacity, considerably heavier construction and a choice of Key or Electronic locking. For customers seeking a substantial premium safe for high-value jewellery, luxury watches and other valuable possessions, the Burton Amario Grade 2 provides an excellent combination of independently certified security, practical storage and flexible locking options. Where the value of the contents exceeds the Grade 2 recommendation, the Burton Amario Grade 3 provides the natural next step within the range.
