Sewing difficultyThis pattern is for experienced beginners. You’ll sew a band collar, construct a button placket, and create sleeve cuffs with a continuous bound sleeve placket. French seams are used throughout for a clean finish, but they’re optional if you prefer another seam finishing method. Fabric suggestionsChoose a soft, lightweight woven fabric. The samples were made from various lightweight cottons around 75-100 gsm. For View B (the flounce version): Consider lightweight and soft fabrics like Indian block prints, Japanese lightweight cottons, or cotton voiles. This style also works beautifully with cotton blends, such as cotton/silk or cotton/viscose. For View A (the band collar version): You can also opt for lightweight linen or slightly heavier fabrics. Fabric requirementsThe cutting layout and fabric requirements are based on View B. The layout is designed for fabric 130 cm (51”) wide.
