Native to Southeast Asia, southern Chine and New Guinea, Amydriums and Monstera are very closely related. In fact, the defining characteristic is that the Amydriums have two ovules in each ovary and the seeds tend to be heart shaped. Care and growth for Amydrium is almost identical to Monstera, and with maturity, grown vertically, Amydrium leaves will split and fenestrate as well.
