Strom E36/E46 Billet B48 Engine Conversion Mounts Overview Used on our very own E36 B48 Swap! The B48 platform is becoming one of the most exciting modern swap options thanks to its compact size, impressive torque curve, factory reliability, and tuning potential. If your looking to modernize your E36 or E46 with a compact, powerful motor, then the B48 Swap might be for you. Power levels depend on exact configuration, but stock turbo setups can be in the range of 250-300 WHP. These Strom mounts are produced from 6061 aluminum and are the exact engine mounting brackets that were designed to meet Strom's requirements to fit a B48 engine in their race chassis. Designed to fit the E46 or E36 chassis in the most efficient way possible. Compatible with factory E46/E36 subframe and compatible with OEM factory-style engine mounts. That means they can be used with OEM stock rubber if you are doing a street car or you can go solid/poly for race application. If the bushing was made for an E46 with M54 or S54, its compatible. On the Garagistic Grip-B48 E36 Project our poly bushings found here were used in the conversion. If you plan to use Motec or Similar, you might want to also pick up a Valvetronic Lockout Kit!
