The hat will widen with wear (if you knit it with the suggested yarn) to a gauge of approx. 17-18 sts in 10 cm - this has been taken into consideration in the pattern. You can vary the length to get the look you want. The top with the decreases measures 5-6 cm. Measure your head circumference to find the right size for you.
