Pineapple produces fruit with a unique flavor profile which is a combination of pear and pineapple. So yummy! It's great for fresh eating, cooking, and canning. The tree is also resistant to fire blight. Pineapple Pear are best grown in zones 4-9 and although they are self fertile, it is best to have other pollinators in order to increase the fruit yield. Best pollinators are Kieffer, Orient, Moonglow, or Bartlett pear trees. Mature height 15-20' & width of 12-15'. Our pear trees are 3 year trees that our sold in 5 gallon lines and are approximately 6' tall and have a trunk of approximately 2". Because fruit trees often require cross pollination, we offer our five gallon size fruit trees at a "buy two trees and get an additional 15% off" for customers enrolled in our rewards program (excluding fruit bearing cherry trees).
