4-Week Beginner Wheel Throwing Course Learn the art of wheel throwing in a relaxed, small-group environment. Over four weeks, you'll build confidence on the pottery wheel while learning the core techniques needed to create your own handmade ceramics. This beginner-friendly course covers wedging, centering, pulling walls, trimming, surface decoration, and glazing. Throughout the course, you'll create 3–6 finished pieces to take home. With a maximum of 3 participants, you'll receive plenty of one-on-one guidance and have your own pottery wheel for every class. The course takes place in our Downtown Squamish studio. What You'll Learn Week 1: Introduction to wheel throwing, including wedging, centering, and pulling walls. Weeks 2 & 3: Continue practicing and refining your throwing skills while creating your ceramic pieces. Week 4: Learn trimming before selecting your glaze colours. Your work will then be professionally glazed and kiln-fired, or you can book a future Glaze Session to glaze your own pieces.
