This socket is made out of ceramic porcelain with a premium glossy black glaze and comes with a matching black cap that is also featured on our porcelain cord plug in set. For a cl ean look, the cap of the socket is secured with included screws from the inside of the socket. Our porcelain socket is also easily paired with our cloth covered wire sold by the foot. However, if you plan on making a DIY light cord with this socket, we highly recommend using cord grip/strain relief for a secure attachment. Cord grips are sold separately.
