Made of oil-treated oak wood and horse hair, this body brush with a handle produces a soft, satisfying lather when used with soap and is handcrafted by Iris Hantverk in Sweden following traditional techniques developed almost 200 years ago. Iris Hantverk is a manufacturing company with roots in Sweden's visual impairment movement. In the late 19th century a group of visually-impaired craftsmen from across the country came together to establish a brush-making collective called De Blindas Förening (The Blind Association). The group was originally formed to provide equal opportunities to earn a living for the blind and partially sighted, as well as developing specialized brush making techniques.
