Just not as soft or forgiving during the mold as the Jet. The benefit? It holds its shape longer and offers better energy transfer. Improved Cuff Fit One of the key changes from the Jet to the Eclipse is the redesigned cuff. On the Jet, some skaters found that the cuff was too wide, creating a gap around the ankle. The Eclipse addresses this with a narrower, more sculpted shape that wraps securely around your ankle bone, enhancing both comfort and control when cornering and sprinting. A Smarter, Simpler Sizing System The Jet used Bont’s original sizing, developed more than 50 years ago. It worked, but it wasn’t ideal for modern shopping, especially online. The Eclipse introduces a completely updated sizing system that aligns more closely with athletic shoe sizes.Sizes now increase in consistent 5mm increments, which makes for a more precise and predictable fit. This also means more sizing options will be available to help you dial in the right boot size, especially if you're in between standard sizes.
