The Borealis collection is entirely handmade in Michael’s studio in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. Featuring ceramic with a crystal glaze, the pieces are edged with platinum or gold. The collection is finished with a reactive glaze that fires slightly differently every time, adding to the unique beauty of the pieces. About the Designer:Michael Wainwright has been getting his hands dirty in clay since the age of 7. When he graduated from NYU in 1991 with a degree in clay sculpture, he didn't know what to do for a living, so he sold his handmade wares in street fairs and craft shows around New York City on weekends, carting his wares on a handtruck on the subway. Now Michael Wainwright USA sells to stores big and small across the country, and Michael thinks he has finally figured out what he wants to do in life. Show more
