Camlock fittings, also referred to as cam and groove couplings, are quick-connect hose components designed for the efficient connection and disconnection of hoses or pipes across a wide range of fluid handling applications. These systems are made up of two core parts: a male adapter and a female coupler. The male adapter features a groove around its outer edge, while the female coupler includes cam arms. When the arms are pulled back, the male adapter can be inserted. Releasing the arms locks them into place, providing a secure and leak-resistant connection. These fittings are widely used in sectors such as agriculture, petrochemicals, food production, and chemical processing, where safe and frequent hose or pipe changes are essential. Camlock fittings are available in a variety of materials, including aluminium, stainless steel, brass, and polypropylene. The camlock in this listing is made from polypropylene (PP); ensure that this material meets your application requirements. Camlock couplings are highly valued due to several key advantages: Fast and Simple Connection: Enables rapid attachment and detachment of hoses or pipes, significantly reducing downtime during setup and maintenance. Leak-Resistant Seal: Forms a reliable seal when correctly connected, helping to avoid fluid leaks and cross-contamination—vital for safety and efficiency. Cross-Compatibility: Designed for compatibility within standardised sizes and types, allowing seamless integration with various systems and components. This product is a 3/4" Camlock Type DP fitting. Type DP plugs feature a male camlock end and are also known as dust plugs. They are used to cap the ends of camlock couplers when not in use, protecting the connection point from dirt, moisture, and damage.
