By removing the footswitch and placing the controls on the side, you can easily place this unit directly under other pedals, like a carpet or on the back of the pedalboard.Slight change: I removed the trim inside CE Preamp. This change brought the pedal closer to the original CE-1 tone. About The CE PreampThe CE Preamp is based on the preamp from the BOSS CE-1. The BOSS CE-1 uses ±13V for the preamp section, and the CE Preamp is similarly driven by a 9V power supply internally converted to ±13V. Because it uses the same circuit as CE-1, the CE Preamp also has low impedance. You will hear a muffled sound when you use the CE Preamp. That issue can be solved by placing a buffer pedal in front of CE Preamp. ControlsGAIN : GainPEAK : Glows when excessive input is detected.EFFECT : Always glows when the pedal is driven.HIGH / LOW : High to pass through the amplification circuit, Low to pass through them.
