By removing the footswitch and placing the controls on the side, you can easily place this unit directly under other pedals, like a carpet or on the back of the pedalboard. About The EP PreampThe EP Preamp is based on the preamp from my own Maestro Echoplex EP3. And it uses the same circuit as the original, with no additional output buffers or amplification circuits. The Echoplex preamp adds low-mids and a bit of thickness to the sound when passed through them. It is not flashy, but it has just the right amount of comfort that makes you want to play it all the time.I wanted to get more accurate data than what I could see on the data sheet, so I removed components from the original Echoplex and measured their values.
