Padron peppers are a delicacy from Spain. You'll predictably get irregular teardrop shaped fruit about 5cm long. But there, predictability ends! These peppers range from nearly swe et to about half as hot as a typical jalapeno. So while it's not necessarily a culinary form of Russian Roulette, you might be in for a slightly hot surprise here and there.
