Compound 33 is our internal formula for Santal 33 from Le Labo. Launched in 2011, this is a modern woody fragrance built around Australian sandalwood and cedarwood with a distinctive violet-iris accord that gives it its characteristic dry, slightly pickle-like opening. This compound features sandalwood lactones and cedarwood derivatives creating a dry, pencil-shaving effect, enhanced with Iso E Super for diffusion and Ambrox for depth. The addition of cardamom, papyrus, and leather accord creates a minimalist yet complex composition that has become one of the most recognisable fragrances of the 2010s. This compound is IFRA and EU compliant and ready to dilute and bottle. Just add alcohol.
