We are pleased to announce the publication of a new 10th edition of MULTIPLE-CHOICE & FREE-RESPONSE QUESTIONS IN PREPARATION FOR THE AP COMPUTER SCIENCE A EXAMINATION. The new 10th edition has been completely rewritten to reflect the new College Board Course Framework for the AP Computer Science A Examination, starting with May 2020. As usual, the book is divided into two sections. The first section has 10 topical focus chapters for each one of the ten unit in the new course framework. Each one of the topical chapters briefly summarizes the concepts, provides information about common pitfalls, and is followed by review questions. What is new in the 10th edition is the nature of the review questions. Since each unit in the framework is divided into explicit sub topics, the review questions are aimed at each one of the sub topics for every unit. There are a minimum of four multiple-choice questions per Unit Topic and some of the larger topics have eight questions for a total of 280 multiple-choice topical questions. The questions vary from simple and straight-forward to explain concepts up to very challenging questions that help to prepare students for every level of difficulty. The second section concentrates on the actual AP Examination preparation. There is a chapter on snooker questions. These are questions in a variety of topics that appear simple and straight forward, yet they are easily under-estimated, even by smart, well-prepared students. One chapter is devoted to the new style of free-response questions that will use four specific categories. There will be 12 free-response-question, three examples for each category in this chapter. Finally, there are two chapters with a complete sample AP Computer Science A Exam of 40 multiple-choice questions and 4 free- response questions. This means that the 10th edition has 372 multiple-choice questions and 20 free-response questions for a total of 392 questions.
