The M2A3 is the digitised, third-generation variant of the Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle, fielded from the early 2000s with an Improved Bradley Acquisition System, second-gener ation FLIR, Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) networking and additional appliqué armour. Armed with a 25mm M242 Bushmaster chain gun and a twin TOW anti-tank missile launcher, it carries a crew of three plus a six-man dismount squad, giving US mechanised infantry a fast, well-protected platform that can fight alongside the M1 Abrams.
