Daftmill is a farm distillery. Owned and operated by the Cuthbert family, it only runs in the farm’s quiet periods; mid-summer and winter, sometimes producing as few as 100 casks p er year. When not distilling, Francis Cuthbert looks after the estate, growing the malting barley used to make this Lowland whisky.Distilled from clear wort in the summer of 2006, with a slow distillation regime, very high and narrow cut points we collect the lightest most delicate flavours from our barley malt.This bottling contains whisky from 7 first fill bourbon barrels. Casks 067/2006, 068/2006, 069/2006, 070/2006, 071/2006, 072/2006, 073/2006 which were all filled at the end of our summer season on the 30th September 2006.
