Domaine Race is now run by Denis Race, wife Laurence and daughter Claire who's the fourth generation of her family in Chablis to make wine here. The Races own 15 hectares of vines in Chablis from Petit Chablis to a great Grand Cru Blanchots. Farming is essentially organic, winemaking traditional and being no fans of oak, aging only in stainless steel. These are some of the purest and most elegant Chablis I've ever come across. This Chablis is intense, fine and very pleasant. The winemaking in steel, rigorous and attentive to the quality of the fruit, accurately tells the splendid terroir and the love of the Race family for this grape variety. TASTING NOTESThe Chablis of the Domaine of Denis Race, has a beautiful straw yellow with a fresh and mineral nose, fruity notes intertwine with grassy hints and white flowers. On the palate it maintains freshness, with a savory, rich and persistent sip.PAIRINGSExcellent as an aperitif. It goes well with seafood dishes, vegetables, small hors d'oeuvres and goat's cheese.
