A strategic pruning in 2017 made this the only farm to survive Hurricane María, a Category 5 storm that devastated the island on September 20th of that year. Its isolated location has kept the plantation healthy and largely free of the plagues that commonly affect coffee trees. This coffee is processed on an ecological farm the same day it is harvested. A sun-drying process and a rigorous three-step classification by size, density, and color ensure a uniform, premium product.
