This crisp and refreshing Macabeau blended with Garnacha Blanca is a great example of why Calatayud is demanding our attention. The perfect white to chill and enjoy with seafood or fresh vegetables, packed with notes of unctuous white peach and grapefruit peel with a subtle herbal finish. Calatayud has a treasure chest of old vineyards, and it’s not uncommon to find 80+ year-old vines, which are able to withstand the warm and dry climate as well as its infamous strong northerly El Cierzo wind. El Risco is sourced from these old high altitude vineyards and vinified with a hands-off, low-intervention attitude. Show more
