A proper lamp post for a proper path This is the full height version of the Chapel lantern, lifted up on a fluted column and set on an octagonal, fluted pedestal base, so it reads as a genuine lamp post rather than a light bolted onto a pole. The lantern head keeps the same peaked roof and single finial as the rest of the range, just raised well above head height. Cast black, floor to finial Every section, base, column and lantern head, is finished in the same matte black, with clear glass panels around the lamp chamber so the fitting reads as a single piece rather than a stack of parts. How it works It takes one E27 bulb, so you can choose a warm filament lamp for an old fashioned glow or a brighter LED if the path needs it, and it will dim if the bulb you fit is itself dimmable. Where it works best Built to stand in open ground, it suits long driveways, garden paths and the approach to a front door, anywhere you'd rather have a light standing in the border than mounted on the house itself. Part of the Chapel family The lantern head matches the wall and pillar versions in the range, so a matching pair of posts either side of a driveway can be echoed by a wall lantern at the door for a set that reads as one design rather than several.
