The EMG ABC-SOL is a solderless two-pickup blend control for EMG active pickup systems, replacing the traditional three- or five-way selector switch with a continuously variable blend pot that mixes the bridge and neck pickup signals across the full sweep of the control. At one end of the pot the output carries the pure bridge signal; at the other end the pure neck signal; every position in between gives a proportional mix of the two, so the player can dial in the exact balance between pickups rather than being restricted to the fixed voicings a selector switch offers. It sits on the EMG solderless accessory shelf alongside the ABCX-SOL (the X-Series-compatible version of the same blend module for X-Series harnesses), the AB Afterburner clean boost for standard 25K instruments, and the AB220 Afterburner for 220K-format instruments. The natural fit is a two-humbucker guitar or a two-pickup bass where the player wants Jazz Bass-style continuous blending across the full pickup range rather than the traditional switch-based selection, with particularly strong results on instruments running matched pickups where a slight bias to bridge or neck is more useful than a hard switch between them. Solderless plug-in installation via the EMG quick-connect harness. For X-Series active pickup systems, the ABCX-SOL is the correct part. Distributed and supported in the UK by Selectron.
